Sample report: a made-up business
Sample Pilates, where you stand, and the plan
Cronulla, Sydney. Checked from what anyone can see on Google.
- Google shows different businesses depending on where the searcher is standing, so every search was run from three spots: Cronulla, Caringbah and Miranda.
- When you search for yourself, Google knows it's you and puts you higher, so every check was done the way a stranger sees it.
The short version: four numbers
The same checks, scored the same way, every time we look. You get this table back every month so you can see it move.
| Area | Today | What would move it |
|---|---|---|
| Your website | 34 / 100 | No prices or class packs anywhere. The trial is three taps in, under "About". The timetable is a photo, so Google can't read it. |
| Your Google listing | 41 / 100 | No "Book" button. Saturday hours say closed, but the timetable has two Saturday classes. 6 photos, none of the reformer room. |
| Everywhere else online | 22 / 100 | The old studio number is still on Facebook and two directories. |
| Behind the scenes | 15 / 100 | Nothing counts trial bookings from the site. Email protection that stops fakes is off. |

Where you show up when someone searches
Where you come up in the list on Google Maps. 1 to 3 is the map box people see first. "Out" means not in the first 20.
| Someone types | From Cronulla | From Caringbah | From Miranda |
|---|---|---|---|
| pilates cronulla | |||
| 4th | 8th | out | |
| reformer pilates near me | |||
| 6th | 12th | out | |
| beginner pilates class | |||
| out | out | out | |
| pilates trial class | |||
| 9th | out | out | |
What we found
From Cronulla itself you come up 4th to 9th, just outside the map box, and a first-timer searching for a beginner class doesn't see you at all.
What we'll do
- Put the trial on the first screen, with what it costs and what happens after.
- Show class pack and membership prices, how long they run and how to cancel.
- Turn the timetable into words Google can read, and fix the Saturday hours.
- Add a "Book" button to your Google listing, and photos of the room and the reformers.
- Run these searches again every month and send you this table.

What is out of our hands
How fast the order moves. Recent reviews count most, and so does how close the searcher is. We report where you stand. We never promise a position.
