StreetGrow (ABN 24 262 685 438) is a small Sydney business that builds websites and looks after Google listings for local businesses. This page says what we collect, why, who handles it for us and how long we keep it. It follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Before we contact a business: its name, address, phone, email, website and reviews, as shown on its public Google listing and website. We use this to pick which local businesses might want our help, and to write to them about their business.

When you text, call or email: your name, your number or email address, your business name and whatever you tell us. All of it comes from you.

When we run a free audit: what anyone can see about your business in public, such as your website, your Google listing, your reviews and your other listings online. We don't log in to anything of yours for an audit.

When you become a client: what you send us to do the work, such as access to your Google listing and website, and photos of your work.

When you browse this site: the technical basics every website receives (IP address, browser, pages viewed). There are no forms, no accounts and no cookies on this site.

Why

To answer you, run your audit, quote and do the work, and send you your monthly report. That's the only reason we collect anything.

We don't sell, rent or share your details for marketing, and we don't send newsletters.

Who handles it for us

Cloudflare hosts this site and counts visits with its Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you. Its servers are in Australia and overseas.

Google Workspace runs our email, so emails you send us are stored by Google, mainly in the United States.

Anthropic's Claude, an AI tool, helps us with the checks and the first drafts of audits and messages. Its servers are mainly in the United States.

Telegram passes messages that need Luke's answer to his phone.

Texts and calls are kept on our phone, like any small business.

Each of these is bound by its own privacy policy and handles your details only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep a record of which businesses we've contacted and what they said, so we never contact someone again after they've said no. For clients, records of the work and invoices are kept as long as tax law requires (usually five years).

Overseas

Some of the services above run on servers outside Australia, so your details may pass through or be stored on them.

Your details, your call

Ask and we'll tell you what we hold about you, correct it or delete it. We'll keep only what a law requires, and a short note that you asked us not to contact you, so we don't. Email luke@streetgrow.au or call 0402 263 305.

If you think we've mishandled your details, tell us first and we'll answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
